Summit For Someone announces a new climb on Mount Rainier

Mount Rainier, that famous volcano that beckons from Seattle on clear days, has always been one of our most popular Summit For Someone climbs. In previous years, groups have climbed the Disappointment Cleaver Route with Rainier Mountaineering, Inc., and had a blast.

This year, we decided to add another option on Rainier: The Emmons Glacier route. The climb will take place July 19-22, and will be guided by Craig Van Hoy and Go Trek. The route covers 10,000 vertical feet over a three-day push to the summit, and climbers spend three nights camping.
